We're the Fleming family — a Catholic family, a creative family, and a family with approximately 47 ideas at any given moment. Joan & Joe Co. started because Jack and Whitney wanted to take that creativity, make something meaningful, and put a little more good, beauty, and joy back into the world. And, naturally, we got the whole family involved.
There isn't a big team behind the scenes. It's us — our family dreaming up ideas, making things, testing things, occasionally changing our minds, and figuring it out as we go. When you bring something home from Joan & Joe Co., you're supporting more than a small business. You're supporting a family, and becoming part of the story we're building together.

Why “Joan & Joe”?
Joan is for Saint Joan of Arc, Whitney’s Confirmation saint. Known for courage, conviction, and saying yes to something bigger than herself, she reminds us that God can work through ordinary people who are willing to listen, trust, and step forward in faith.
Joe is for Saint Joseph, one of Jack’s greatest saintly inspirations. Quiet, faithful, hardworking, and completely devoted to his family, he reminds us that holiness is found in the everyday work of providing, protecting, creating, and caring for the people entrusted to us.
Together, Joan & Joe Co. represents a little of what we hope this family business can be: faithful, creative, courageous, hardworking, and always centered on family.
And the Lemon?
If you've been wondering why there's a lemon hanging around here… that's a family story. It started with a lunchbox and soon turned into (and continues to this day) what we call The Lemon War.
These days, lemons have a habit of mysteriously appearing in lunchboxes, under pillows, on desk chairs, and wherever else they can cause the most confusion and laughter. We won't explain all the rules. Honestly, we're not sure there are any.
But the lemon has become our little reminder that family life should be fun — that the smallest, silliest things often become the traditions your kids remember. So while Joan & Joe Co. represents the faith and inspiration behind what we do, the lemon represents the kids, and the joy, humor, and family that make this business uniquely ours.
